Depending on time available I either am driving a HGV around Europe in Euro Truck Simulator 2 or more likely am constantly being kept busy by help write and test railway timetables for SimSig which can be frustrating as well as a feeling of elation when done.

With ETS2, I prefer to travel around Europe than the UK as I prefer left hand drive (driving on the right) as opposed to the UK which has right hand drive (driving on the left) with a various number of HGVs from Scania, MAN and Volvo to name a few...

With SimSig, I like to help with timetables that cover specific areas of the UK such as Plymouth to Taunton, Kings Cross to Grantham, Euston to Watford Junction, Edinburgh/Glasgow Queen Street etc covering periods from 2002 all the way to the present time.

As I have a keen interest in railway history, it goes hand in hand with the timetabling.

I have ETS2!

I tend to just use a RHD vehicle in Europe (not gonna lie, the UK is unrealistic in its current state and is a bit neglected, especially compared to areas like Germany which has had some reworks)

I think I'm currently using a Volvo vehicle, although I'm generally exploring around since I have lots of employees (I think 50 at least?)

Do you mind explaining what SimSig is? Never heard of it

Promods really livens up the game as whole

There's some really interesting mods for ETS2 as far as I know, I just have a Waze satnav mod and a few other satnav accessories

I did have some visual mods at one point as well, including one that changed the companies to like Farmfoods etc

I haven't really bothered exploring the mods for ETS2 like I have with Cities Skylines

I tried mods once and it buggered up the installation.

Have tried the new electric HGVs from Renault and Scania, Renault feels like you need to throw out the anchor when braking while the Scania when reversing with a trailer, the front wheels move far too quickly that means you need a far far gentle touch steering than you would with a non electric HGV.

I've got all the EU add-ons to date, the ATS2 add-ons not as much.

Am looking forward to Greece and the northern parts of Sweden, Finland and Norway when they get released although I wish they gave us Ireland...

Very true, it's a ongoing project though.

As to SimSig, have a look at their main page:

Or have a look at their rivals at PC Rail which have the old semaphore signalling simulated.

Finally getting back into Animal Crossing New Leaf, it's been a while 😂 (haven't played since April)

Hoping we might get online again soon (although it'll probably release to testers on Pretendo when it first launches)

I actually just bothered to take a look at it now

I have none of the DLC so can't download it anyways, UK looks so much better with ProMods (seriously it's so unrealistic)
They have plans to do the UK eventually, however they're focusing on the other parts of Europe first which are supposedly older than the UK is, and because they've been working around that way the most as well.

Fair enough, just isn't realistic when half of the intersections are cloverleafs in the UK (when in reality there's like one cloverleaf in the country).

Apparently the map is at 1:19 scale, which is interesting to know.

I know that Germany has had a lot of improvements lately, but it's always been good anyways.

Yeah, there's quite a few 1:1 map mods out there though, well worth looking at as they're fairly good in their own (I do believe certain DLC is needed for some to work though)
