A friend of mine is in the lucky postion of living in an area which is served by Virgin Media, Openreach FTTP, Lit Fibre and Community Fibre.
Historically he's gone with Virgin because of the TV and Broadband bundles they offer. He's on their Mega Volt package but after recontracting he's lost a lot of things. He's gone from 1Gb internet to 512Mb and has lost the BT Sports as they're not bundled anymore.
Long story short he's got 14 days to change his mind and has decided its not worth it anymore and has asked me which ISP he should go with.
I only have Openreach FTTC @40Mb max speed, VIrgin Media and Community Fibre in my area so the choice was easy for me. I'm with Community Fibre and i'd like to recommened them. However Community Fibre when i signed up over a year ago at least provided dynamic IPV4 on their 1Gb plan now they only do CGNAT. So im hessitant to recommend them.
Lit from the looks of it can have a static IPV4 address for £5 a month.
Then there are the Openreach FTTP options
What should he go for?
