Whats it like as an ISP ?

im on supanet 0800 and im not gonna sign up to supasurf on 56k i can get 100pings yes great but i get kicked off after 50 seconds of countestrike gaming <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0"> ive emailed them and they blamed my settings rofl i know my settings of by heart and its thier service stay away well away if you ask me

also, when i signed up i made the huge mistake of choosing credit card instead of direct debit as my payment method, so now im unable to stop the direct debit and stop them taking money from my account - COME ON PEOPLE THERE MUST BE A WAY TO STOP THEM TAKING OUR MONEY!

LOL - anyone who gets crap pings on isdn with supanet read this reply to a complaint I made:

Thank you for your e-mail.

You should not be getting a different connection types between "SupaSurf"
and "Pay as you go" services because both services use the same ISDN modems.


If you are only experiencing it while playing online games it is probably
due to the games server being busy.

There are a few different reasons a user can have a different ping rate/slow
connection,
1. The server on the other end is busy. <-- lol
2. Time of day. <-- lol
3. Some networks do not allow Ping or Traceroute, due to DOS attacks. ie
Mircosoft. <-- LOL
4. The user has many Explorer/Netscape windows open. <-- OMFG LOL
5. There are networking issues out on the internet. <-- hmm

I have to say after reading all these posts that i wholeheartedly agree with all of you who complained about Supanet's so called "service".
it is absolute & utter crap and i thought i was the only one! 20 - 30 times to connect/ignored e-mails/disconnected after less than 30 mins...
the list goes on.
i,m cancelling my contract with them & they can stuff it if they think they,re getting another penny from me.

I'll echo what Matt said above - I signed up to Supahighway last May and have had several episodes of non-connection problems, dropouts and all the problems mentioned above. I'll stick with the contract to the end of May, but then cancel - hardly worth the hassle for 3 months ....

I'm lucky that I can surf during the day, but as soon as the schools close and kids start logging on for games/homework, connections go right down the tube. I had a connection at just 16Kbps the other day but amazingly it was stable and stayed up for two hours - luckily I wasn't in a hurry <img src="graemlins/hrmph.gif" border="0" alt="[Hrmph]" />

Service has got SIGNIFICANTLY worse since Christmas - they must have realised they would get lots of new subscribers: why didn't they have the servers ready then?
