Which modem is best?

IM having a tough time choosing as new modem?

Many people say these 2


but them others



What is the different as they both look the same. The only different i can see is the price :confused:

Or does someone recommend another modem?

Please dont reply with a comment like a dsl modem as im in a DSL and Cable free zone <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

The first one looks like the older non v.92 one.

But it doesn't matter, ISP's haven't taken up v.92 anyway.

I had one of these (V.90 one) and it's the best modem around. very popular with the gamers.

erm most gamers i know still on 56k all have v.92 modems, so why are ISP's being so cheap and not upgrading to V.92?
 
i think before i had cable modem, my 56k modem was a v.60 (i not sure), a modem is a modem, the most information u can squeeze down a thin telephone line is 52 or 56k
 
I know for a fact that AOL support V.92, very nice... jst thot id mention :D

nah they dont support v92, the aol beta software pointed us into the direction of the american v92 keyword which said it had v92 support :(
