Widescreen??

Hello folks..

Can anyone recommend a 19/20' Widescreen monitor for no more than £200?

It needs to be as good or better than my current iiyama ProLite E483s (4.3) As i have the op to sell it and upgrade.

I do play games so good contrast and fast speed is handy..though my iiyama has been sweet as.

Any downsides with a widescreen monitor..or any opinions at all...Im goin on the opinion that a widescreen tv is better than the old 4.3..so surely a monitor would be as well..?

Thanks.

Yeah i saw that too. Though i was lookin at the Hyundai a little lower down (for a few pounds argument) apart from contrat ratios..the big difference seems to be analogue or DVI input..is this a big deal?? I'm thinkin DVI has to be better...and i have a sweet as grafix card now too.

Whaddaya reckon?? Im also guessin LCD is same as TFT?

LCD (liquid chrystal screen) a type of display used in digital watches and many portable computers. LCD displays utilize two sheets of polarizing material with a liquid crystal solution between them. An electric current passed through the liquid causes the crystals to align so that light cannot pass through them. Each crystal, therefore, is like a shutter, either allowing light to pass through or blocking the light.

TFT (thin film transistor) technology provides the best resolution of all the flat-panel techniques, but it is also the most expensive. TFT screens are sometimes called active-matrix LCDs
