Will this new site be EE & Three or just EE?

Hi, I was wondering whether this site will be both EE and Three or just EE, as described in the thread title. The two parts that make me hopeful that Three will be included are "H3G" being mentioned on the Commscope antenna design, highlighted in yellow, and the site being listed as MBNL as highlighted again in yellow on the right.

However, I am still not sure as to how these plans correspond with the end result, and thus would appreciate help in working out whether both networks will be added :)

Thank you :)

The Commscope RZW-65B-R4-V3 arrays are multiband, covering everything from B20 up to B38 and the Ericsson AIR3278 antennas at the top are 5G only using B48.

I don't have the licence info to hand for 3 or EE, but I'd assume both have licences to operate on frequencies covered by both of those antenna arrays.

Thanks for your reply. As it says "EE/H3G", with H3G being Three, would you assume that the plans are for both networks to utilise, and broadcast from the site? So if I'm with Three should this site improve my signal when its built?

Could be that 3 are also going to use the lower set of B20 to B48 antenna arrays, with EE also using the upper set of B48 5G arrays. It could also just be something added to the planning consent documents for completeness, or even an error. There are an awful lot of errors on mast planning consent drawings I've found recently.

Confusing one!!

It looks like Three will be broadcasting some 4G from it... however only EE will be broadcasting 5G from it....

At the same time though it looks like a 3/Hutchinson mast with EE addition...

I think someone messed up the drawings.

Thanks for your replies @JitteryPinger and @JSHarris, I really appreciate it (y) It is really confusing, but will be interesting to see what happens. Even Three 4G would be welcome, as the area its in currently has unreliable service from all four MNOs 😄

I've recently spent a fair bit of time trying to decipher what might actually exist on a local mast, using the planning consent drawings. All I can say is that it was hopeless. I anded up driving over to the mast and taking loads of photos of the antenna arrays, then reverse engineering things to guesstimate what each set of arrays was doing.

Should add that the mast in question has the following services hanging off it:

TETRA Airwave cardioid array (400MHz band)
B20, B8 and B3 sector antenna arrays (three off)
Log periodic array for Freeview TV broadcast
6 off dishes providing various PtP links, probably at around 60GHz
6 (pretty ancient looking) GSM colinears
1 Yagi (Network Rail I think)
3 old style T Mobile GSM panels
3 T Mobile 3G panels
1 Log periodic (no idea what service - looks to be around 400MHz to 500MHz
3 older TETRA/Airwave monopoles (I think these were in use before the big cardioid was fitted)

There's also a profusion of buildings and cabins on the ground, including a large backup generator cabin. Not easy to work out which operator runs what. The site has all four mobile operators, plus Arquiva running TETRA and the TV transmitter.

By the way, would anyone happen to know, what are the timescales for building these kind of MBNL monopole sites? Planning application was approved in early July

It's primarily an EE in-fill (project code 'service limitation'). Typically destined to be besides roads/railways where coverage is currently patchy. Where's the site planned for - the images have the address redacted?
