Trying to configure windows 2003 as PPTP, VPN server, gave the server a public IP for one network card connect that to the ISP's router next network card to the local network etc and configured VPN polices etc

Clients can connect to the server and get the local ip but soon as they do their not able to surf the net or ping any local servers or connect to any local servers etc, but the vpn is connected to the server. I couldn’t work out what I’m doing wrong any one have any idea

Just wondering if you've set the access rights up correctly (link) ?

yea I read that too, but my setting are bit different as I dont want that to be my local dhcp server. and I dont use AD as well we use novel’s e-dir

unlimited-dsl let me pm u the details

Ok Manage to get the clients to access the local servers by adding static route on RRA , still the internet doesn’t work tho unless they RDS in to the server and refresh page in the internet explore then the traffic goes though our main gateway. Server loosing the internet connection as well. And works after few refreshes.

How do I make that automatic when ever a VPN client connects the traffic goes through the main gate way.

I've Googled the "Use default gateway on Remote Network" check box and that's about it ... :hrmph:

Yea that’s already ticked. I don’t want to give them internet access through my VPN, but what’s happening now is that, when they connect to my vpn server they r loosing their ability to surf the internet. but have access to our servers. When they disconnect the VPN connection they can surf again. Hope it make sense

Are the people who VPN in able to ping IP's or domains on the internet and what traceroute results do you get?
