Hey just wanted to see if someone here could offer advise as everything I search keeps bringing me here.
I live in between 2 EE masts but one is less than half the distance of the other.
I also live in a converted chapel from the 1800 and mobile signal becomes non existent as soon as you enter these thick stone walls.
So I currently use EE for 5G at my workshop and i thought I would bring home my EE Zytel router the new 5GEE Router they supply now.
For now I have placed it on a window as the upstairs is similar to a loft conversion so I can rest the router on a window to get it as high as possible.
Below is the strength of the signal that I am getting
This is the data of the tower on Cellmapper
With just the router sitting on a window these are the speeds I am getting
Between 3.8 and 7.79 Download and 2.5 to 2.8 Upload
With my Broadband currently I am seeing
18.5 Upload and 1.2 Upload
So ideally I would like to see based on tower data and current speeds with less then ideal router location is there a chance that I could get better signal and speeds by fitting an external antenna.
I would fit a 4x4 mimo antenna and would consider directional as I know where the mast is.
TIA
Chris
