Would THREE 5G broadband hub work with Mesh system?

They said that too about the ZTE MC801A, yet they are still supplying it, I think they just make it up as they go along.
Oh really, that’s no ideal.
That’s my first contract with Three.
Gonna give it a try for the 30-day period n decide.
You guys think it’s worth?

I have 2 of the Zyxels and granted I have no 5G, but neither have dropped the connection once since I got them.

Just use straight WiFi though, no mesh required for me luckily enough.

I also used the ZTE MC801A with great success too.

Give it a go, and if you don't have any joy just cancel Joujou.

Hope you get on ok with it, best of luck My friend. (y)

How do you monitor that?
Just checking the logs and the connected days now and again Lucian, no special monitoring software.

I'd have noticed as YouTube, Disney+ and Netfilx are never off either.

Might not be as stable with 5G in the equation though, hopefully one day I'll find out. :giggle:

Hi all, I hope you can help with this.
So I’m temporarily using my Netgear extender with 3 but it keeps dropping, I’m wondering if there’s something in the 5G hub that I should change for the extender to be more stable?
Never had this issue before when I had my normal broadband.

There are settings in the ZTE to increase wifi strength... log into the router home page, then
wifi settings : advanced settings : wifi coverage : short coverage / medium coverage or long coverage. I use long coverage and I get good speeds all around my, albeit quite small house.
Not sure about the Zyxels...

I got the settings to longest coverage on my ZTE ( ended up keeping ZTE) and my wifi extender is the

I have the Zyxel Thee 5G hub connected to my Asus XT8 mesh. Had to enable "IP passthrough mode" which I think is what Zyxel call bridge mode.
Hi first time message! Would really appreciate some help please - have a similar issue. I’ve just received Three’s Zyxel hub for their 5g package. I have a Google mesh system that’s been working fine plugged into our hardwired Openreach connection. Have swapped the cable from my other modem into the Three hub, and have tried setting it to both ‘bridge’, via Broadband > Ethwan and turning on ‘IP passthrough’ but neither works. The actual Three connection is fine and the hub is working properly too. Thanks for your help
