Yeah, this is in response to Gmail. You can also buy 2GB of storage space off Yahoo for $20.

I can't remember them exactly - but if you set up a yahoo account there are very detailed instructions on how to set it up for POP3. I did it and made sure I ticked none of the boxes for interests (to avoid spam!!). To be honest when I moved from Wanadoo to Pipex I didn't bother setting it up again as I would rather use yahoo as a webmail account.

Thanks for the info Grave-Red. I have created the email account on Express but it does not work. Perhaps its down to AOL, my isp. MY Yahoo account is fine using the browser but not the software. Oh well!

lol i cant login to yahoo using outlook with aol no idea why, keeps on popping up user pass but i have entered them right.

I opted to sign up for all their services to get the pop3 but never paid nowt. I just used to enter my domain details and then in "my server requires authentication" i used to put in my yahoo username and pass and smtp.mail.yahoo.com and it works

i am sure if you pay the £11,99 a year for 2GB storage they will provide pop3 as it does say you can use it

LOL!

it says you can get pop3 access by subscribing to a service - then when you goto that page it says

The service you are requesting is not currently for sale.
We apologize for the inconvenience

brick and wall spring to mind :(

Same error as I get.

I wonder if it will work with an alternative email application.

hmm........

HOW AOL can block port 25 but at the same time provide smtp.aol.uk.com is beyond me!!
