Yayzi 2.3Gig Pro+ in York - Is it really possible?

Hi,

I live in York and looking to get the fastest net over Cityfibre and noticed that only one ISP - Yayzi offers
2.3Gig Pro+ (Avg wired speeds between 2-2.3 Gbps download / 2-2.3 Gbps upload). All other Cityfibre ISPs offer up to around ~900mbps. I've asked Yayzi and they've confirmed that yes 2.3 Gbps is possible for me.

However I wanted to double check here on the forum if they really tell the truth. Does anybody know?

Yes. They are currently the only CityFibre ISP to offer greater than 1Gb speeds over the network. More ISPs are due to add this over the coming months too.

If you put your address into their website it will tell you the exact speeds available. The packages vary depending upon if you're in a GPON or XGS-PON Area, but somewhere in the region of 2Gb should definitely be possible.

Yes, When I put my address there in theory it shows me 2.3Gpbs in Yayzi, but only in Yayzi. That's why I was suspicious. Thank you for confirming.

I did the same and I'm getting my CF installed tomorrow, as I wanted symmetrical speeds

If Yayzi's own postcode checker on their website says you can have it. You will be able to. It seems to be pretty reliable for this.

I have been with Yayzi for 6 months now and I am very happy with the service I have been receiving off them.

The offer paying £100 for a router. Personally speaking, given you can get an N100 from Aliexpress for about this price (especially when Aliexpress have voucher deals on). I would get that any day of the week over the Yayzi one. Just make sure it is one with 2.5GB/s Lan ports.

I'd like to confirm, that Yayzi really provided me with 2.3 Gbps connection. The only company that uses Cityfibre that offered such fast speed. That's interesting.
Good to see you're now connected.
As mentioned above, other ISPs will be offering faster than gigabit over CityFibre in the coming months. I Believe IDNet and Vodafone are two such providers that are looking to launch this sooner rather than later. Yayzi just happened to be one of the first to do so.

Yup, Likely this year will be Vodafone, IDNet, Zen, & maybe Aquiss. These will likely be launching on both Openreach and CityFibre with Zen on-boarding another AltNet

Zen announced new alt-net then?

Wonder which one it will be.

So far I have checked a dozen or so addresses, and all of them dont have XGS-PON availability on cityfibre.

Richard just replied on YT saying its coming as well, but nothing else on who it might be.
