can any body out there tell whats going on
i lost my broadband in nov.re-applied for my connection, filled in another direct debit.still heard nothing from v21.
must be a lot of us in the same boat.does anyone have any more info.
happy new year
willis

Most resigned with other ISPs not back to V21 as they already knew contacting them was impossible

I would go back with V21 given the chance without hesitation. I have had enough of ezeedsl , I have cancelled the Worldpay payments and will assess them again when 3mths is up and if all their promises have not come to fruition I will challenge the 12 month contract.

V21, if you are monitoring this forum and want one of your old customers back give me the means to return.

There could be more like me?

Regards
Pat

same boat

sent v21/biscuit letter today to recover costs inncoured through no fault of my own due to them breaking the contract.these costs are bills etc been posted by mail and then i find i'm in the red with other services.contact trading standards ,your m.p ,and anyone else yyou can pester until we get better service from these cowboys.

Somehow I managed to get a service from them. I guess this means they're still functioning to some degree.

I think I'm effectively a Biscit customer now (shudder), not V21.

Hi bigpat,

I was with V21 for a few years and apart from a short zilch I had good service from them and Paulm on the Forums was an excllent person. So essentiall I was happy there then came the Net servics fiasco as Biscuit had taken over. This put me right off at the time and once I got my line clear decided to get a line rematal, calls, broadband bundle elsewhere as things were so up in the air. I think I would have probably stayed as my registraton elsewhere (on this Forum mentioned too) it has taken me 3 registrations to start things moving with Pipex. I could not believe the stupididty I was getting with phoning and complaining about having to repeatedly re-register. At time of this message still waiting to get on broadband again.

Anyway, I do miss V21 as I was happy there. Hope you get sorted out.

Hi rjhowie

Sounds like you are in a worse situation than I am, I hope you too get everything sorted out quickly.
Obviously V21 do not want me back or do not monitor this forum as I have had not had any contact, yet.

Best Regards
Pat

Cynical supposition

I suppose there are some V21 customers, like me, who are prepared to risk staying with their cheap and cheerless service, IF ONLY WE COULD GET RE-CONNECTED!!

I don't think Biscit/V21 have rejected us ex-customers; I suspect they're concentrating first on re-connecting those willing to pay the higher Biscit rates, and leaving the V21 paupers 'till last.

Or, perish the thought, they just CAN'T trace and re-connect all the ex-V21 broadband accounts, because they've sacked the loyal V21 staff who understood the old systems.

It beggars belief that a struggling company hides behind secret, locked doors, with its 'phone lines unanswered, whilst outside wait willing customers with their credit cards or direct-debit forms in hand!

V21 i believe do not monitor these forums, however some of the old staff who used to part of the V21 team have set up Fast4 as an independent ISP away from V21 and Biscit adn we would love to have you back on to our service.

This has appeared on the V21 status page:

Advice for V21 Customers

Our network is now stable and all services are running as expected. As such if you are still experiencing problems this is likely to be an individual issue relevant to your account. Please email support@biscit.net with as much detail as possible and we will respond quickly to help resolve your issue. Please note that MAC address or cancellarions can only be accepted by post and that customer support have no visibility of your payments.

The V21 Portal is offline and will remain so whilst our developers secure and repair it. This service was taken offline to prevent the double charges and other billing errors that customers were suffering from. Please bear with us whilst we rebuild this service.

Fast4 was £9.98/month

But I don't suppose you're prepared to honour the price we originally signed up at - in the'good old days' before you transfered our accounts to V21!

I've just signed up on Fast4 dial up as a temporary measure. I don't think you'll be getting my broadband custom (if ever I manage to get free of ezeedsl)

which prices as our services have changed since we operated under V21.

Which makes it seem even worse! I didn't choose to sign up to V21 - fast4 hived of my account (without asking me) and now to 'entice' me back you're offering to charge me 50% more.

Sorry but fast4 won't be getting my broadband business.

Say what?

You didn't choose V21? But you signed upto Fast4? Who did you think was gonna be providing whatever service you signed for?

Entice you back? They didn't actually let you go!
It was NETSERVICES that hived accounts from V21's(Biscit CSP) resellers...Hardly the fault of Fast4 V21 or Uncle Tom Cobbley.

As Fast4 support has already said (not in so many words)todays Fast4 is nothing whatsoever to do with V21/Biscit and has a whole new pricing structure.

That is 100% correct Tracker, i am trying on here to rebuild some sort of reputation as i can appreciate that since the whole mess with V21/Biscit/Fast4 (old) that some people have become disillushioned with our company. All i can say is that we are back working again, over the past 3 months taken on alot of new accounts and are working hard to once again establish ourselves as a low cost market leader.

On this note our FUP has increased recently to 200Gb per month.... i think even the most harden of downloaders may have an effort achieving that one.

Like I said - I signed up with Fast4! I'd never heard of V21 until I got an email (probably 2 years after I first signed up with Fast4) saying that from then on they would be my isp.

And I have the Fast4 customer services email from Nov 2006 claiming that they are a brand new company (brand new prices but same old branding!)

And maybe Fast4 are now trying to (re)build customer relations - but they wouldn't have needed to if they hadn't sold off their customers to V21 (before the Biscit business started)

At the risk of sounding argumentative( who me? ;) )
Fast4 that was, and V21 were to all intents and purposes, one and the same...nobody sold off anyone..... all V21 did was consolidate their customer base a-la all their 'offshoots' would now be under the one name...V21...The Fast4 branding you now see has been taken over by a good few of those who were made redundant when Biscit 'trimmed ship' and closed the Camberley offices on the take-over.

OK so you signed up with FAST4...ever thought to read the Terms and Conditions? You would surely have noticed therin that the company address was... London Road, Blackwater, Nr Camberley, Surrey, GU17...strangely enough the exact address of the parent company V21....Go figure :)

There has never been anything hidden we posted news on our main page that said the Fast4 CEO's name which was the same as the V21 CEO's name.

It was never hidden from view if people would just search for info. this might help and to find more just use the search news and type fast4

Say what? Who said anything about anything being hidden Kitty?
I was pointing out to urbanite that just because he signed upto FAST4 he was actually signing up to V21...the parent company....something which he didn't seem to understand...and complained that Fast4 sold all their customers to V21 :)
