15 months ago I ordered a YouFibre connection with a promise that they would be ready to connect me in December 2022. Cue 6 months of overpaying for Virgin Media and constantly being told next month and then just giving up and getting Openreach FTTP.
This morning I finally receive an email saying to book an installation. I have 14 days to cancel if I don’t want it anymore, but I’m struggling to work out if I do? Yes, it’s faster and cheaper, but I’m not willing to compromise reliability and service quality to save £2 a month.
I’ve heard a lot about YouFibre support actually being pretty bad - sure, Trustpilot reviews are fine but Trustpilot are woefully unreliable - people are only reviewing the install and first few days, not real reliability and support. Have people had good support when things have actually gone wrong with YouFibre?
Also, I’m not sure how much I want a third set of boxes outside and in. Does anyone know what equipment YouFibre actually install nowadays?
Since I ordered, their website had changed and is woefully lacking in information. I’m not sure I even want to support a company that doesn’t tell you their prices until you’ve given them your personal data…
