Zen CityFibre FTTP connection issues

Long time reader, first time poster here.

I've recently got rid of my Sky FTTC at a max of 30/4 in favour of CityFibre FTTP 900/900 with Zen. I chose Zen over the likes of Vodafone and AirBroadband in the hopes of getting half decent support.

So long story short, I had the fibre installed 25th October and the installing engineers failed to get the service connected despite the line testing ok up to the ONT. Roll on 10 days and I'm still not connected to a functional service. I've had a replacement FritzBox sent out and tested but still nothing. Basically the connection gets its satic ip but I'm unable to connect, ping, traceroute to anything.

I'm getting very frustrated and grasping at straws that anyone might be able to offer any assistance as I'm getting nowhere fast with Zen.

Really not the experience I was hoping for.

Cheers

Paul

Have you completely ceased the FTTC?

Have you reminded Zen that they are owing you roughly £50 in compensation, and its racking up by £5.04 per day?

Unfortunately yes, I ended my contract with Sky which cut off last Friday.
I wasn't aware they had such a policy but will have a look into it.

As far as I'm aware, I am the first customer in Derby, but given they have rolled out the same service in other cities, that shouldn't make any difference.

Just a quick update to say I'm finally connected. 2 Engineers came out Monday with another FritzBox confirmed working on the engineer's connection at home. It worked with his details but not mine, so thats 3 Fritzbox's that didn't work.
They also tried a Technicolor DGA4134 which worked with my details. They did say that the Technicolor was being tested for use on CityFibre connections and to keep this one as it's also Wifi 6 and they expect to be changing to these in the future.

I can't complain about the speeds from my 2015 Macbook Pro on wireless.

Cheers

Paul
