Zen CityFibre - upgrade from 300 to 900

I'm currently on Zen 300Mbps via CityFibre. I'm considering upgrading my connection from 300Mbps to 900Mbps and paying the extra. Has anyone else ever done a regrade on Zen CF, and if so, how did it go, were there any glitches? I know CF can be weird about service changes, although this is just a regrade within the same end-user ISP.

I'm still within contract for the 300Mbps service but happy to re-contract with Zen if required for the 900Mbps. I also assume that the ONT I was supplied with by CityFibre will be fine for 900Mbps (given that I already have >900Mbps upload on what is meant to be a 300/300 service!).

If you have 900mbps upload, are you sure you're not meant to be getting gigabit? sounds like the provisioning has been messed up on Zen's side

Maybe different in Scotland but been with Zen for about a year on CF and never had more than my tier speeds upload.

is it worth it? usually people upgrade to get higher upload speed too but you seem to get that bonus anyway :P

I upgraded from 300 to 900MBps and it was done the day after I placed the order. (I'd previously had the 900Mbps upload as well.)
Request IPv6 by email if you want it. That was applied quite quickly. Don't remember how long.

Premium for 1gig/900 doesnt seem that high, as the real premium products now are multi gig. I suppose it depends what you do with the connection, but looking at prices I would say its worth it.

I'm due to be having Zens 300 service via CityFibre installed next week.

Whilst doing my research, I have read that CityFibre only provision one of two upload speeds: 100 Mbps and 900. So if you order a 100 service for an ISP, they set it up for 100 upload, and if you order anything above that you get 900 up and Zen don't seem to restrict that on their side.

I was wondering if CF will be provisioning me with a 900/900 link, which Zen will then cap at 300 down? If that is the case, then CF won't get involved in your upgrade.

***Just noticed that this thread is over 6 months old: @MissTuned - how did your upgrade go?
