Are there any other Zetnet users on here that are experiencing problems with there email? They host all of our company email address's and we have not received any email's for over 24 hours now and are unable to speak to anybody at Zetnet, you just get played a recorded message and no response to any emails.

Same here, no mail on an SMTP service since yesterday. Phone lines on answer only, cant even leave a message. Homepage was updated this morning with an explaination of migration of mail servers.

After years of reliable service (including being able to speak to a person) since being taken over by Breathe Networks we've had two major issues in a couple of months. Interesting to remember the press release Breathe made at the time of the takeover...."Zetnet has a loyal and stable customer base, and we will ensure that there is no disruption in this merger" I wont be loyal for long if this is how you're going to treat us!!!

The message on there homepage about the mail servers was on there yesterday as well and since we have not had any emails since midnight monday night you would think they should at least have a message on there informing there customers about the problem. If you look at the system status it even says that all services are normal. We have been with them for 10 years but not being able to contact them if there is a problem is just not good enough when we rely on email to contact the majority of our customers.

Inbound mail to us is being bounced straight away with an unroutable address error, makes it look like we've gone out of business!

Outbound mail appears fine...but we're not sending it through their servers anyway.

I'm sorry that I cannot help with your current problem.
Have you considered having your own domain emal address and avoid the same problem in the future?

Same is happening to me. I have had no proper mail since early yesterday.

"Have you considered having your own domain emal address and avoid the same problem in the future?"

Domain email address is no answer, crash79.

Spam addressed to my primary address (the one only Zet knows) is getting through, but the address I publish - the one attached to my domain (hosted by Zet) - is bouncing back and making me look bad.

I know this because, using another account, I emailed a message to 'support' yesterday and copied it to my 'normal' zet address; it came straight back with a clear message that I was not only unavailable, but permanently and fatally so, and png into the bargain.

Re the message on their homepage, terryjl, it might have been there for months. They don't date their web pages. A lot are way out of date (look at the phone numbers).

In addition, it is galling to have the telephone support line tell you to go away and try later, and then hang up on you - at 10p a pop!

If any Zet people (and I know there are still some real people hanging in there, doing their best) are reading all this, please place a boot in Breathe's midriff for us.

Just been on zetnet website again and they have put this message on there -

"Whilst we are doing everything we can to ensure that your e-mail account is migrated successfully, it is possible that we may miss some.

If people who e-mail you receive bounce messages with wording along the lines of "recipeint unknown" or "email address unrouteable", then it is likely that your e-mail account hasn't been migrated.

To request that a missing mailbox is migrated, please filling the form below.
E-mail address
POP3 Username
POP3 Password
Alternative contact "

They seem to have missed more than just some and they must have been aware of this before now so why has it taken them so long to put any information on their site.

Many thanks for this info. I do so agree that 'they' have let us down!

I can't even find the message you quote. Probably I am defective, but just in case others haven't tracked it down either, can you please post the URL for this form?

Thanks

The link is on the front page under the information about email migration. here is the link http://www.zetnet.com/missingmailbox.php

Must say they are taking the P**s we have quite a few email address's here and they seem to be expecting us to fill in the form for every single one. It remains to be seen whether this will be resolved and if so how quickly. I for one am in the process of looking for a different ISP to move to ASAP.

Zetnet

Absolutely disasterous - no email for two days, we depend on email for all our sales inquiries and emails sent to our address are bouncing.

I have been with Zetnet for years and years, always liked the friendly service - all gone
support now 10p per minute, old numbers give recorded message saying number has been changed, nothing on saynoto0870, bloody annoying.

I have been IRC ing support, but they are just paying lip service.

Time to move - cheaper deals elsewhere.

Great shame - still, had a good run.......

Zetnet and Breathe

This will make you laugh

BNL’s newly appointed Chief Operating Officer, Steve Kaye confirmed that there would be no disruption to Zetnet’s customers, stating: “Zetnet has a loyal and stable customer base, and we will ensure that there is no disruption in this merger, and that the customers can benefit from a range of new products and services that we will be launching throughout 2008 and 2009.”

HA!

I've been with them forever, too, and it was a good run. Zetnet used to be brilliant - real people, friendly service, as you said. I have also been forced to sign up to BT's broadband along the way, because Zetnet wasn't able to provide this when I wanted it. The reason I kept the basic Zetnet account is because I hate webmail (which is all BT gives you), and because Zet was hosting my domain.

Have spent over a quid today attempting to use the telephone contact. It's seriously insulting to be charged for a call that leads nowhere except them hanging up on you.

Funny thing is, I have received a load of spam addressed to my Zetnet identity, no probs there it seems-

- but am not holding my breath for the real stuff routed from my domain to arrive.

How do they have the cheek to claim that they are still an independent ISP, I wonder?

We have had no email for 2 days. Today I had to register a new domain with another service provider as I've been unable to contact zetossers. We are a medium sized businsess that depends on email - these guys are complete tossers I truly hope they go down the tubes.

Zetnet

e-mail still out at 11.35, 2/07/09.
Agree with all the other posts that until Breathe came along Zetnet had been superb. But now I'll be looking for another ISP - but which one???

Not sorted.

Yesterday at least I got spam. Today nothing; can't even make contact via computer to their mail server; their phone off the hook.

Is it time to contact the media and report a business crash, is what I'm wondering...
