ZTE MC801A & Unlimited Three SIM

I've this setup for about a year.

Got the Sim only plan on offer last Black Friday and bought this 5G router from eBay. It worked brilliantly well for about 9 months, at least 200Mbps everytime i tested until one day my router started to switch off/reboot itself on a constant loop that it's unusable basically.
I've tested with other network, O2 and didn't drop connection but unfortunately i don't get 5G where i am at.
Last week sign a new contract (1 year) with Three with their 4G B535 router, the new sim have the same "problem" with the 5G router. Obviosly it works on their 4G router but i only get about 4Mbps if so.

Does that mean Three block my IMEI so i no longer can use it? Any work around of troubleshoot i can try?

(Forgot to mention, tethering with a 5G phone also works well with the same old SIM.
I have no alternative, no Open Reach connectivity so i can only rely on Mobile Broadband. Tried also Lebara(Vodafone) but i don't get 5G on my ZTE but works flawless.)

@Poska this sounds like a hardware issue with the router.
I would look at replacing it or keep using the 5g phone tethering.

I would also return the b535, as you noticed, Three on 4g alone is rubbish (in many areas).

But the router with either Lebara and Vodafone SIM don't turn off on a loop, regardless of being LTE. I've tested "LTE only" on Three and keeps dropping.

That's why i'm so intrigued otherwise i would think the same way, that the router is overheating or any other problem.

Hm, indeed. :/
Out of ideas then.
For what it's worth, I do use a 5G phone as a router and works fine for me, you could do the same until the mystery is sorted.

Sounds more like either a software issue has been introduced in the ZTE firmware (if there was an update?) that now has incompatibilities with the Three network, or Three's network hardware in the area that you connect to has been replaced (Huawei to Ericsson) and the Ericsson RAN hardware/messaging is creating a race condition in your router.

Ideally you'd need someone else with the same router, firmware version and on the Three network to verify if they experience the same issue. Or travel someone else where Huawei RAN hardware is still in use and see if the issue is still present there.
