Dear all..

i'm playing with new MC888 unit, I was able to dump a Livewire UK unit that has very fresh firmware. In the next days I'll try to create custom FW and porting new "Network Information" view that is missing as stock (but binary has it)

My unit currently has this build:
BD_LIVEUKMC888V1.0.0B04
MC888
MC888HWV1.0.0
ZTE CORPORATION
LIVE_UK_MC888V1.0.0B04

Anyone else with this unit and want to share his firmware version and may be take a dump?

Thanks in advance :)

I have this unit from Three Business, possibly different firmware, do you want anything from it?

I can share a procedure to try a dump from it. Let me know if you are interested.

The copyright from the "main page" is with 2023 or still 2022?

No idea, it's not been taken out of it's box yet.
oh nice.. may be we can do dump as is and after an update (it should have one for sure... i hope!)

I'll send you after lunch the procedure via private message, not sure it will work because there are different hardware revsion, and some don't accept loader

anyone that want to share it's firmware version?
i'm interested on Three UK one, just to compare with Livewire UK :)

no one? :(
hope next week to load my custom firmware on this MC888

I'll update this post if it will be successful

and ... i did it again :D

Anyway looks like that Livewire UK doesn't expose extended network information

I need to find a MC888 from Austria that seems to have this info

I also just got a similar ZTE MC888 router.

The firmware version is BD_H3GUKMC888V1.0.0B02

When I tried to check for update it's says no update, so I guess it's on the latest version.

BTW, is there a way to use the ZTElink app?

Thanks

looks like very old.. may be Livewire UK is newer than Three one
Anyway I was able to make it boot with my CFW, but without extended network infromation any mods is not so much useful

I'll return the unit and try to find one from Austria that should have this feature :)

Is there a way to chose a specific 5G band to lock it, similar to the Zyxel routers?
EDIT: Nevermind, I see it's in the "Network Debug" in the Advanced settings.

There you go:

You don’t have extended info, just PCI, band and BW :(

I’m in contact to get a cheap 888D from Austria, let’s see if it can be rooted or not.. keep you updated
