ZTE MC888 expriments

X65 known models added:
- MC888A for AU Japan, called ZTR02
come from lteforum.at.
Sincere waiting for your reply.
Do you have admin password for your router?

May be the one that you have is not a real admin (like 888A from A1, where there is a tcadmin with full privileges)

Thank you for your reply.
I can get a password on the bottom tab of the device, but I don't think it's a password with super privileges, so how do I get that password? Something like a password to enter developer mode?

as i've said by private msg, from now (and I don't have a ETA for the future), i'll stop working on these ZTE devices. I've other priorities and play with other stuff :)

My tricks to enable ADB has working until some version, newer one has patched the flaw, so these cannot be "opened" easly anymore

Bought a regular mc888, Three branded and using it with a scancom sim. Does the firmware update automatically as a manual search finds nothing and I'm still on the B02 software unless there is no difference from the B04 version that others seem to be using.

Hey, I have the mc888pro and ultra!

Why does the debug page no longer work with the script in the B07 T-Mobile edition black pro?

mc888pro has no simlock and x62 chip

mc888 ultra no simlock Vodafone and x65 chip

Thanks

Looks like that in the latest update ZTE has enabled hidden pages password to be different from normal user password.. so no joy on branded router :(

Yes, that's right ! Actually everything works with the script and all the hidden menus

but the debug no longer works. I also tested the password 3 times without success

mine from wlan, admin from the box and tcadmin

Thank you anyway

I think A1 Vodafone is better but with mf289f it was like that because Vodafone was different than the mf289f T-Mobile version because T-Mobile had better WiFi (chip)

You also have to be careful with the networks, not all of them support the bands like N75

I don't think this Vodefone MC888 Ultra has X65 chip. (top speed 2.7gbps)

MC888A is the version with X65. (top speed 3.8gbps)

Hey, he has an x65, unfortunately Zte has a lot of errors in the descriptions! It is confirmed by more, see also LTE forum, for example this

Mc888 x62 2x2 mimo

Mc888 pro x62 2x2 Mimo

Mc888 (Z22) x65 ultra 4x4 mimo

Qualcomm SDX62/65 Chipsatz + Dual Pine, OS Linux/OpenWRT

Bandbreite: 300 MHz (X65) oder 120 MHz (X62), T+T, T+F, F+F NR CA

Hi!

I have a ZTE MC888, a South African version branded by Rain ISP, with firmware version BD_RAINZAMC888V1.0.0B06. The 5G has stopped working, and I'm suspecting a firwmare problem. It's just driving me crazy.

@stich86 would it be possible for you to send me the dump/root procedure so I can poke around the firmware for a possible solution? I don't have the rights to PM you... I can then share the dump if needed.

Thanks!

Same here, 5g stopped working. UK Three branded MC888 router.
I created a new thread HERE. It's possible it's a common issue with the router?
