ZTE801A 5G router from Three - how to confirm that external antenna is being used

I the last couple of months we appear to have had a 5G signal switched on where I live. I have got hold from Three a ZTE801A Three branded device.

When elevating the device on my roof I can get a 5G signal with a respectable through put of around 200Mb/s, so I thought I'd buy an external antenna as the 5G router itself can't live out in the elements.

The external antenna I purchased was this -> https://paradar.co.uk/products/bluespot which is a device that I have used before on a same model of ZTE801A Three branded router at my mothers in Derby 1 year ago (Aug/Sept 2022) and I have seen that do 800-1000Mb/s but I used one of the "hidden" Web interface menus, either ->
https://192.168.0.1/index.html#ant_switch or https://192.168.0.1/index. html#rf_mmw , I can't remember which enabled me to force it to use the external antenna, but the key thing is it works REALLY REALLY well.

My device which was sent to me in June 2023, I suspect has a newer firmware/software for the web interface as as soon as I try to use either of the previous mentioned "hidden" URLs it immediately redirects back to the home page.

I have tried a couple of "hacks" to access these menu items -> https://github.com/tpoechtrager/ZTE-Web-Script/blob/main/zte.js and https://miononno.it/files/801/801-zte-v3.0b.min.js (the second link is broken now but I have the zip file, I have attached it in this post for others). These JS files once run within the developer tools via the dynamic console appear to just surface the links I have already mentioned.

So I am a little stuck, I want to ensure I am using the External Antenna, but right now I am not convinced it is... any help and directions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

It's disabled by 3 as far as I aware. Can try band and cell locking to make the most of the internal antenna?

You need to click the band, then 1+3+28 etc for rhe 4G then click 5G and select something like 78.

You can use band and cell locks within that developer mode.
