Zyxel Cellular Lock / 3

Has anyone managed to get the Cell ID lock working on a Zyxel router?

I've tried several times on my NR7101 (attached to 3uk) but it doesn't seem to work.

I have the band lock set to "auto" and then do the following:

1. Turn PCI Lock to "on"
2. Scan local cells
3. Pick the strongest signal from the list and type the PhyCellID number and RFCN number into the settings.
4. Then "apply" and reboot.

I've tried the 3 strongest cell sites and each time after a reboot the router hasn't connected to the network. If I turn the PCI lock to "off" and reboot the router attaches to one of the 3 cells - but won't do so with the lock set to "on".

Try doing a Factory Reset to bring the Cell Locking back to normal state first, then try Cell Locking afresh, then a Reboot after a Cell Lock attempt, you may or may not need to do this every time you attempt a new Cell ID Lock.

How are you Cell Locking?, using the Original Firmware Web UI that came with the NR7101 or a 3rd Party App?

What's the Current Firmware Version that came with the 7101.

Original software using v7 of the firmware

Have tried that but doesn't make any difference.

For the cellular lock to work do I just take one of the cell IDs from then "scan" and enter the details e.g.

Cell PhyCellID RFCN
1 393 1761
2 85 1617
3 401 199

So in the NR7101 firmware entering

PhyCellID Lock = 393
RFCN value = 1761

Or does the PhyCellLock need to include the MNC or MCC number as well?
