Hi all!!
I've got the Zyxel NR5101 5G router which uses the RG502Q-EA modem, the firmware Zyxel provide for the modem is out of date (RG502QEAAAR11A03M4G). The latest version is RG502QEAAAR13A03M4G, which provides 5G CA.
I've got a copy of the latest firmware from Quectel but you can't upload the *.zip files directly to the NR5101, it needs to be complied to an *.img file.
My question is: Is there a way I can connect directly to the RG502Q-EA modem without having to take it out of the router? If I can connect directly to it I can use the QFlash tool to update the modem firmware.
(I've open a support ticket with Zyxel asking them to provide the new module firmware for the NR5101 but I'm not holding my breath that they'll do it).
