ClaraNET Interview 2

"Our aim is to offer Internet access at every level, from basic local rate dial up access right through to complex business solutions"

16) ISDN Dual Channel support, are you in favour or against it and do you have any plans to support it in the future as a more expensive option?

We support it right now, but only on the metered products. We do have plans to allow bonding on unmetered products in the future.

17) What are you opinions on Oftels future plans to introduce a general ISP regulation body?

If it is as effective a regulator as Oftel we probably wont notice it at all.

18) How do you foresee your ISP progressing into the future? What changes and or updates do you have planned?

Our aim is to offer Internet access at every level, from basic local rate dial up access right through to complex business solutions. We hope to announce another European subsidiary soon, and plan to further establish Claranet as a truly European ISP.

We'd just like to say a big thanks to Nick from ClaraNET as taking time out from a busy X-Mas workload is never an easy thing to do, yet he did - thanks nick. There are some very interesting points here, especially about modems vs DSL. ClaraNET looks set to spread itself further out around Europe and go head to head with the likes of World Online and now Freeserve that do the same.

At present they have several new products planned for the New Year, with their first 24/7 unmetered option looking set for launch come February. We fully expect this award winning ISP to come up with something good and the dual channel support will be most welcome.
