ISPreview investigate the fraud @ VisualDepth

Bingo, the first physical proof that VD had lied about at least one thing, irrefutable evidence that the ISP was indeed using Planet Online for it's network bandwidth and on an EzeSurf IP! Having completed Phase1 we decided it was time to investigate the company itself.

Phase 2:

For the second phase we were charged with the problem of finding out what companies VD had links with. EzeSurf, Planet Online (Energis) and BTNet were the key people to contact. After getting off the phone with both POL and BTNet, neither knew an ISP named Visual Depth or based in the location they state, existed. So now we knew several confirmed facts:

1. VD Confirmed EzeSurf customers could login to their ISP using EzeSurf details, putting it down to a 'security issue'.
2. VisualDepth claimed their network was NOT from Planet Online (BTNet was rumoured the be their one).
3. VisualDepth usernames and passwords were actually EzeSurf usernames and passwords (as above evidence).
4. When logging into VD the IP given was part of the Planet Online network.

Clearly we had a serious problem and finally the proof to show for it, VisualDepth was lying, but one crucial piece of evidence was missing from the puzzle, EzeSurf. Thankfully we barely had to even contact them because they had already been taking their own action. The first sign of such events was from the following newsgroup post:
