"the next version of the AOL software will be much more powerful at fighting spam"

12. PAUL45: What would you think if Wanadoo made a play for AOL Europe and AOL UK being merged with Freeserve to form Wanadoo UK?

AOL Europe and AOL UK are doing extremely well on their own at the moment thanks! :)

13. SALVADOR: Will AOL ever increase the number of email accounts? Since I can remember, 7 is the maximum you can have.

We have no plans at present - we have not seen significant demand form customers for more accounts, but I will feed this request onward.

14. SALVADOR: At the moment you can report spam emails, but I don't see any changes - I still get spam emails from the very same people I keep reporting. So, will AOL improve the filtering of e-mails / make it easier to block spam?

Your spam reports do influence our blocking policies but it is a complex process and not always perfect - we are continually refining it however.

Yes - the next version of the AOL software will be much more powerful at fighting spam, using Bayesian maths to learn what you believe is spam, as well as offering a spam folder for filtering out suspect emails. We will give customers greater ability to decide what they want to see and what they want to block.

15. SALVADOR: Will they ever offer BB with a one month minimum contract?

We have no plans at present - we believe our offer is highly competitive with no up front costs but part of the trade off is a 12 month contract.

16. KITTY: Will AOL be having the 1Gig per day download cap for its cable (NTL based) broadband in the AUP?

In theory we are required to enforce such a cap if required on our cable service. However, our general policy is against caps where possible because we believe that ideally flat-rate should mean just that.

17. ENGLISHGUY: Why doesn’t AOL support the MS Outlook email software?

We do not at present but it is a possibility in the near future.
