The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a website advert for the Hull (East Yorkshire) focused wireless ISP Wisper Broadband after it claimed to offer “Super Fast … speeds of between 10 and 20 MBPS day and night“, but at least one customer only received 1-3Mbps.

The Superfast West Yorkshire project in England has confirmed that the new Superfast Extension Programme (SEP) contract with BT will result in even more premises being reached with “high-speed fibre broadband” (FTTC/P) than originally planned and the first areas have also been named.

After a rocky start TalkTalk appears to be on the path to recovering from last year’s cyber-attack, but not before reporting that they ended Q1 2016 (calendar) with a total of 3,996,000 on-net broadband subscribers (down from 4.1 million six months ago). Elsewhere mobile customers might be in for a difficult transition.
