KCOM Fibre Broadband Reaches 78,000 Premises in East Yorkshire

KCOM, the incumbent telecoms operator for Hull and East Yorkshire in England, has revealed that their on-going “Lightstream” roll-out of fibre optic broadband (FTTP/C) services has now covered 78,000 premises with 26,000 connected including 1,700 businesses (33.33% take-up).

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a website advert for the Hull (East Yorkshire) focused wireless ISP Wisper Broadband after it claimed to offer “Super Fast … speeds of between 10 and 20 MBPS day and night“, but at least one customer only received 1-3Mbps.
