Managed and IT service provider Flotek Group has announced that they’ve acquired Essex-based ISP Clear Telecom, which has over 23 years’ experience supporting SMEs across the region, for an undisclosed sum. The provider’s services include IT support, hosted VoIP, SIP trunks, Microsoft Teams, business phone systems, mobile, broadband, and leased lines for SMEs.
The acquisition is said to strengthen Flotek’s managed IT presence across Essex and London, while providing Clear Telecom’s existing partners with access to an expanded range of managed IT, Microsoft cloud, cybersecurity, and communications services.
As part of the deal, Clear Telecom will continue to operate from its Essex base, maintaining an established presence for partners across the region and into London. But the provider’s team will become part of Flotek Group, while continuing to provide technical knowledge, familiarity, and the support partners require.

Existing Clear Telecom services will continue “without immediate change“, while integration of the provider into Flotek is expected to take place through a “phased approach designed to maintain service continuity and ensure that partners are kept informed of any future operational or brand changes“.
Jay Ball, CEO of Flotek Group, said:
“Clear Telecom has built a strong and trusted technology business over more than 20 years, with established IT and communications capabilities and long-standing relationships across Essex. This acquisition is an important step in expanding our managed IT presence across Essex and the wider South East. Clear Telecom already supports partners across IT, communications, and connectivity. Becoming part of Flotek will allow us to invest further in those capabilities and provide partners with access to the broader resources of the Group. Our immediate priority is to protect the relationships and service that Clear Telecom’s partners already value.”
Barbara and John Malone, Co-owners, Clear Telecom, said:
“Choosing the right future for Clear Telecom was extremely important to us. We wanted to find a business that respected what we’ve built, shared our commitment to partners, and could provide the investment and expertise needed for the next stage of its development. We know that IT and communications are increasingly coming together, and that more businesses want to bring their technology services under one provider. Joining Flotek will allow us to respond to that shift and better support our partners as their needs continue to evolve.”
The acquisition is Flotek Group’s 16th since the business was founded in 2022 and forms part of its strategy to build strong regional teams capable of delivering joined-up technology services across the UK.
