Fibre Optic Firm ACOME Merges All its Brands to Better Support UK Customers
Global fibre optic kit manufacturer ACOME, which is based in France, has this morning announced that they intend to integrate off-shoots Idea Optical and LYNDDAHL Telecom under a single company in order to “better support customers” (i.e. broadband network operators, data centres and civil engineering firms) in the United Kingdom.
The Group currently designs, manufactures and develops cables, connectivity solutions and microduct systems for critical fibre optic network infrastructure. The latest changes have seen the organisation structure itself around four global Business Units: Digital Infrastructure Solutions, Datacom Networks Solutions, Transport, Energy & Defense Solutions, and Global Automotive Solutions.
This organisation is said to enable the Group to leverage its expertise more effectively, foster synergies across its activities and deliver solutions that are ever more closely aligned with customer needs. As part of this they’ve now decided to bring the expertise developed by ACOME SA, Idea Optical and LYNDDAHL Telecom together under a single identity – ACOME Group. The goal seems to be clarity and simplification.

Frédéric Briand, Chief Executive Officer, said:
“This evolution reflects who we are today: an industrial group that has grown, strengthened its expertise and expanded its international footprint. By reinforcing the ACOME Group identity, we are giving greater visibility to the complementarity of our capabilities and to our ability to support customers on increasingly strategic and demanding projects.”
The change is said to form part of the group’s wider strategic plan for 2030, which aims to build a more “visible, agile and high-performing group“.
