Internet provider Vispa has today announced the launch of its new Business ADSL Bonding service, which could in theory “bond” up to six separate 20-24Mbps capable ADSL2+ telephone lines together for a significant boost to broadband download and upload speeds.
Price start at £86.00 +vat a month (+ a £299.99 one-off setup fee) for 2 bonded ADSL/ADSL2+ lines (not load balanced) with “totally uncapped usage allowances“. Crucially the monthly price includes both the broadband and telephone line rental.
Adam Binks, Vispa’s Sales & Technical Director, said:
“Vispa recognises the growing demand that businesses have for bandwidth as off-premise IT solutions are becoming more commonly adopted. The upcoming Olympic Games are also set to have a massive impact on businesses as employees attempt to stream live events over the Internet. Bonding obviously offers greater upload and download capacity at an affordable price point.”
By comparison Be Broadband runs a similar BE Line Bonding service for £65 a month (this does not include the cost of phone line rental like Vispa), which is FREE for the first 3 months and you can even get a FREE Connection when you use the code LINEBONDING3 during signup.
As usual it’s worth pointing out that you would need to have a good ADSL2+ line (i.e. live close to your telephone exchange) in order to get the most benefit. On top of that bonding solutions usually suffer from a degree of diminishing returns.
