Cheshire-based internet provider Vispa has extended the coverage of its superfast wireless broadband network, which offers internet download speeds of up to 60Mbps (Megabits per second), into Westbrook, Kingswood and Chapelford (Warrington, England).
The new network has been under construction since earlier this year, initially reaching two civil parish villages (Burtonwood and Winwick) in June 2012. As a result of this latest work Vispa’s service is now available to a further 4,000 homes in the area, which currently suffer from super-slow broadband speeds of sub-500Kbps (i.e. below 0.5Mbps).

Adam Binks, Vispas Commercial Director, told ISPreview.co.uk:
“The addition of 3 more regions to Vispa’s coverage map proves our commitment to delivering 21st Century connectivity to areas that are being ignored by the larger infrastructure providers. Vispa will continue to invest in enabling broadband slow spot areas and I invite anybody in need for our help to get in touch.”
Prices for the service start at £19.95 per month (Home Lite), which includes a 01925 VoIP account, 12 months AVG Internet Security 2012 software, up to 10Mbps download speeds and a 100GB usage allowance. Installation will set you back £149.00 on a 12 month contract, which falls to £99 on the 18 month option.
The top Home Soho package, which offers symmetric speeds of 60Mbps and a whopping 500GB usage allowance, is priced from £39.95 per month. Business services are also available. Details – http://www.vispa.net/wireless.php.
