Site Status – ISPreview UK ISP Listings Database Update

A quick update to say that ISPreview.co.uk has just completed a lengthy update sweep of all the Internet Service Providers in our UK ISP Listings database, which is performed every few months to ensure that all our prices and information is up-to-date across the 200 or so providers that we list.

It should be stressed that the database is constantly being updated but sadly many of the smaller ISPs don’t issue updates about their package changes and thus we need to run a full sweep every few months in order to ensure that everything is kept current.

This time around we removed and or merged seven ISPs that had either closed down or been taken over by another provider (e.g. ‘Tooway Broadband’ has now been moved under the ‘Avonline’ umbrella). Other providers like Ecominutes, Imagine Broadband, ionNet and Warwickshire Live simply appear to have died or no longer show their prices in public.
