It’s that time of year again. The queues, those often annoyingly repetitive songs, the need for several warm jumpers, a weakening bank balance and those awkward family silences during the evening hours all combine to mean one thing.. Christmas is finally upon us (or things have gone horribly wrong and you’ve found yourself in jail!).
Love it or hate it, there’s no avoiding the inevitable. So as usual we’re going to take a couple of days break to visit our families, wear silly hats and eat or drink far too much. The site will of course still be here and maintained accordingly but for a few days we won’t have broadband on the brain.

It’s also worth reminding readers that many people, including ISP staff and telecoms engineers, often take vacations at this time of year and so if you need support over the Christmas or New Year period then try to remember that short staffing may result in delays.
In addition, we always recommend that people keep any Christmas tree lights and related power cables well away from their broadband routers, particularly if you’re connected via a standard ADSL/ADSL2+ service. These lights, especially the old style ones, are well known to cause interference that can reduce your speed and sometimes even disconnect the service.
Now with that in mind ISPreview.co.uk would just like to wish all of our readers a very happy holiday season and a Merry Christmas! See you all again soon.
PS – Happy New Year 2014 for next week too.

PPS – Ok we weren’t going to do it again but what the heck, this video still makes us smile 🙂 .
