Basingstoke-based ISP HiWiFi has confirmed that their 16Mbps capable fixed wireless broadband network is now available to over 300 people in the English civil parish village of Hannington in the county of Hampshire.
The expanded coverage has been made possible thanks to the installation of a new repeater. Previously the ISP only covered Hatch Warren, Beggarwood, Chineham, Ibworth and Folly Farm (Kingsclere Estates) in the Basingstoke area.

The service itself isn’t cheap and tends to cost £234 to install (doesn’t include the £30 cost of a preconfigured router), although this is said to be cheaper in the Ibworth and Folly Farm areas.
Meanwhile packages start at £25.52 inc. VAT per month for a 4Mbps (1Mbps upload) package designed for “light usage“, while the top 16Mbps (3Mbps uploads) option costs a whopping £66.38 for “heavy use“.
