Site Status – UK ISP Listings Updated and Expanded

ISPreview.co.uk has just completed a new update of our UK ISP Listings database, which as well as ensuring that all of the Internet Service Provider details and prices are correct has also introduce a few new features and sections, such as the ability to search for ISPs by their general geographic location (HQ).

Over the past few years we’ve frequently been asked by local authorities and others for a list of ISPs in particular countries and counties, so in the last update sweep we also made a note of the country (e.g. Wales, Scotland, England etc.) and county (or city in the case of areas like London and Greater Manchester etc.) of origin. It’s now possible to order ISPs based on a simplified location search (note: reflective of company address).

In addition, we’ve also expanded our dedicated Mobile Broadband operators list to reflect both the cheapest package and premium packages (benchmarked to around £25 per month). On top of that some readers asked that we also list SIM-Only Mobile Tariffs (inc. voice and txt as well as data), which we’ve now added as a separate section.

Finally, we’ve made a few smaller layout changes to the individual ISP detail pages and also added a field for Voucher Offers and Gift Credits to all our fixed line broadband packages. Voucher promotions seem to be a weekly spam fest for the big ISPs and so we’ll make sure to keep an eye on how they change. We will refine this a bit more in the near future.

It’s important to note that the listings are constantly being updated but sadly many of the smallest ISPs don’t inform us about changes to their packages, which is why we often do a much bigger update sweep every few months to help ensure that our information is correct.
