Budget Internet and phone provider Primus Saver, which last week confirmed plans to scrap their old packages due to low uptake (here), has taken the wraps off their new unlimited broadband package bundles (expected to be introduced on 1st August 2014).
As expected Primus intends to do away with their existing £1.20 per month (20GB usage allowance) package, which also required you to take Line Rental at £13.99 per month. In its place the ISP has chosen to introduce three unlimited broadband bundles that slightly refresh the current line-up and Recombu has found the details.

It’s widely expected that the existing offers of a free router and free activation will continue to be maintained, although this has yet to be confirmed. As before these are all ADSL2+ based packages and promise speeds of up to around 16Mbps. All three packages will also be free of any aggressive traffic management or download limits.

As previously reported Primus Saver has also decided to withdraw their residential ‘up to’ 38Mbps and 76Mbps superfast broadband (FTTC) packages from sale on the same date, although it’s hoped that they will return in a few months’ time after Ofcom’s forthcoming margin squeeze test (here) has been introduced (although the expectation of this having a big impact upon FTTC pricing remains rather shaky).
