Satellite Solutions Worldwide, which owns Satellite broadband providers Europasat, Avonline and fixed wireless operator Quickline, has gobbled another batch of two UK ISPs after it announced the acquisition of BeyonDSL and Clannet Broadband (they also acquired Eidsiva Breiband AS in Norway).
Specific financial details were not available for each of the transactions, although it’s suggested that the three companies (acquisitions) probably have combined revenue of £1.7 million and EBITDA of £270,000. Satellite ISP BeyonDSL brings with it around 1,700 customers, while community WiFi network builder and management firm Clannet (they will now become part of Quickline) adds another 1,000 or thereabouts.
Andrew Walwyn, SSW’s CEO, said:
“These three bolt-on acquisitions show that we continue to deliver on our strategy of organic and acquisitive growth. The acquisitions are all strategically compelling and are immediately accretive to earnings and all slot into our existing operational hubs, with the ability to enhance margins and expand their customer bases as part of a larger, expanding business.”
The new deals appear to be much smaller in scale than SSW’s July 2017 acquisition of Quickline (here), which was agreed for an initial consideration of £5 million (£3m cash and £2m shares); plus a further £2 million was also invested to grow that business.
