Small business focused broadband ISP XLN Telecom looks set to create 150 new careers in Sheffield (South Yorkshire) after announcing a multi-million pound investment and the opening of a new floor in their local office, which will see the provider “double” the size of their team.
The communications provider first established their One North Bank office in Sheffield back in 2014, which at the time consisted of a 10 year lease for 14,000 square foot. By comparison the new deal will add an additional 14,000 square foot, occupying two floors of the riverside building on Blonk Street.
More than 160 staff currently work at the company and this announcement should push that to a little over 300. XLN Founder Christian Nelleman was this afternoon joined by the Lord Mayor Magid Magid to officially cut the ribbon on the new venture.

Christian Nellemann, XLN Founder and Group CEO, said:
“Helping to bring 150 new roles to this vibrant city fills me with great pride – it’s a testament to just how far XLN has come and points towards the heights we’re looking to scale in 2019. It wasn’t easy starting from scratch in a new city but the last few years have seen a joint prosperity as both our company and this city continue to grow together.
Sheffield was the ideal choice for XLN and so was One North Bank. So we’re looking to double our number in the next year and that means attracting high calibre candidates that want to be part of our exciting journey.”
End.
