Rural UK ISP Airband has today unveiled a new mission statement to mark their 10th anniversary, which says: “Transforming Connectivity for people and communities who deserve better.” Apparently this will underpin the firm’s aim of growing their position as a provider for “under-served communities and demand-led projects.”
Admittedly press releases about mission statements aren’t very exciting, so we’ll just do the quote and leave it at that. Redmond Peel, Founder and Director of Airband, said: “We wanted to start the new year by officially announcing our new mission statement – we’re excited about what this new year and the future holds for us as a company and for the telecoms industry as a whole.”
“We’ve been through a six-month rebranding process, which has involved a focus on the values we embody as a company and the values we want to demonstrate to our customers and our staff. This mission statement is our overall guiding statement as we go forwards into the new decade, with all our expertise supporting our energy and ambition.”

“We started out building wireless networks for remote areas and we have now become one of the UK’s leading hybrid broadband providers, delivering both fibre and wireless broadband across at least 15 different counties in England and Wales. In our fibre delivery, our preferred method is to deliver fibre using overhead fibre. This means we can deploy full fibre broadband more quickly than traditional fibre dig alone or wireless only deployments.”
Wow so excited about this press release. Must be a slow news day or that is about the only interesting thing you can say about Airband.
