Tesco Mobile UK Bundles Six Months of Clubcard Plus Access

Monday, Jul 27th, 2020 (10:56 am) - Score 3,886

New and upgrading customers to Tesco Mobile may be pleased to learn that they’ll now be able to get Clubcard Plus for six months absolutely free, which comes with various benefits including the ability to save up to £40 a month in-store when shopping at.. Tesco, obviously.

The Clubcard Plus account usually costs £7.99 per month and the shopping discount actually reflects their offer of 10% off two shops of your choice in-store (up to a maximum value of £40), which is mostly focused on food and drink (general merchandise and clothing are not all included). Suffice to say that if you regularly do big shops at Tesco then this may make more sense, but if you don’t then it won’t.

We note that this promotion, which is due to be widely advertised across TV and other platforms, only applies to eligible Pay Monthly contracts.

Rachel Swift, Tesco Mobile CMO, said:

“At Tesco Mobile, we’re so proud to be part of the Tesco family and with this campaign we’re leaning into the unique benefits our network can offer, more than we’ve ever done before.

We understand the difficulties many are facing right now and we’ve put the money-saving opportunities at Tesco at the heart of our message – all with a touch of magic to bring our proposition as ‘the only mobile network to help feed the family for less*’ to life.”

Apparently, this is available on “eligible pay monthly contract[s] on Anytime Upgrade or SIM only,” but we could only see it on some handset bundles and not others.

Clubcard Plus Benefits

+ Double data on your Tesco Mobile contract (conditions apply)

+ 10% off two Tesco shops of your choice in store, saving up to £40 a month (exclusions apply)

+ 10% off selected Tesco brands in store, like F&F Clothing, Fred & Flo and more

+ Double Clubcard points, which gets you 2 points for every £1 on your Tesco Mobile bill
