ISP ClearFibre (Telcom Group), which is focused on helping to connect UK homes in the private rental sector to “full fibre” broadband, has announced that they’ve chosen Nokia’s XGS-PON technology to support their Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) rollout. Xantaro’s network service integration solutions will also be used.
The announcement doesn’t contain a lot of detail, but residents on this network should be able to enjoy a three-tier choice of “guaranteed speeds” between 250Mbps and 1Gbps, as well as the option to instantly upgrade to faster fibre speeds. In addition, this will all be underpinned by a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with 24/7 customer service.
Paul Eaton, Chief Commercial Officer at ClearFibre, said: “We are confident our consumers will be highly satisfied and very excited with our variable speeds and price point available, along with an exceptional customer service. … We believe the timing is perfect to be deploying these types of services. We have suffered poor broadband services in the UK for far too long. Bring on change.”
I thought Telcom had signed up with Adtran?
