Business focused UK ISP Connectus has announced that their gigabit-capable broadband network has now been extended to cover the Kestrel Court business park in Doncaster (South Yorkshire), which sits adjacent to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
Local businesses will now be able to order from a wide range of connectivity solutions and speeds that, dependant on the size and needs of the business, can range from 100Mbps to 1Gbps on the basis of Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) and Ethernet style “full fibre” leased lines.
The first customer in the park to go live is Dual Inventive, a company which develops and produces technology products that make working on railway infrastructure safer, more efficient, and more reliable.

Andy Marsden, Connectus Business Development Director, said:
“Our decision to develop and expand our network coverage and service offering to Kestrel Court is based on this area now being recognised as a first-class location for business. Occupiers can take advantage of prime business real estate, transport links, the growing airport’s freight commerce operation and a readily available workforce.
We plan delivery of our networks with care and do not build speculatively, ensuring we create outstanding value for our clients, with minimum disruption to the local environment. We are thrilled to welcome Dual Incentive to our growing list of over 250 clients.”
Kestrel Court comprises a number of detached units of 13,500 to 18,000 sq ft, planned for general industrial and warehouse purposes. Further units are planned across additional phases – The next proposed development site covers 30.92 acres and could include four restaurants, a pub, coffee shop, three hotels and potentially a mix of shops, apartments and/or offices.
Little bit misleading as per normal by Connectus! It should read company with an monopoly on this area who refuse to allow other people onto the park install fibre broadband because no one else can.
As a tenant i have had to deal with Connectus connectivity for the last couple of years and its awful.
Are the subsidised BT cabinets on the Park of any utility?

Connectus have supplied a floorless service to us for the last few years in two separate units on the Airport complex. From the Engineers, customer services, sales to the Directors they have all bent over backwards to hit the initial install date which was tight and costs were covered by a grant scheme. Although the only show in town Connectus were impressive enough to win the bid with Peel Holdings and I can highly recommend them.
