Network builder F&W Networks – supported by UK ISP Hey!Broadband – has today signed a 1-year supply deal with equipment distributor Cable & Things worth £1.3 million, which will provide the operator with underground and PIA ultralightweight overhead fibre optic cables, distribution and joint boxes etc.
The Hammersmith-based F&W, which holds an aspiration to cover over 1 million UK premises by 2025, has already built their full fibre network to cover over 185,000 premises in parts of England (inc. parts West Sussex, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Surrey), and they continue to expand.
Mo Farah, Cable & Things Sales Director, said: “We’re fed up with customers getting ripped off and lied to by the established suppliers in this industry. The usual chat is that they can deliver competitive pricing and short lead times – the reality is that these guys talk a good game and can’t deliver, feel familiar? We are group of normal guys that you can have a beer with, we supply cable and boxes, this stuff isn’t complicated. How can we beat the big boys – simple we have built strong partnerships based on trust, competence, and price with manufacturers overseas that can deliver on time at the most competitive prices in the UK.”
