Network builder and UK ISP Vorboss, which is investing £300m to deploy a 100Gbps full fibre network (Ethernet and broadband) – dedicated to business – across central London, has today appointed Zayo Group’s former VP of European Corporate Development and Strategy, David Gilbey, to be their new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Prior to his posting at Zayo, David also previously worked for 15 years at RBC Capital Markets in the Global Investment Banking Group, where he advised on multiple M&A, debt, and capital raising transactions within the TMT sector.
David is only the latest in a line of recent appointments to the Vorboss leadership team. In 2023, Richard Price joined as Chief Security Officer, and James Fredrickson joined as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer. All of these individuals represent fairly familiar names within the wider industry.

Tim Creswick, Vorboss CEO, said:
“David is a great addition to our outstanding leadership team. We’ve been able to bring in a remarkable level of experience recently, supporting our unique position as a highly reliable, resilient, secure and affordable network for London’s businesses. David’s experience across financial planning and analysis, strategy, M&A, and capital structure management will support us as we continue to grow rapidly by putting customers first.”
Since 2020, Vorboss has installed over 500km of fibre optic cables to connect all commercial buildings in Central London, and they’re continuing to expand.
