UK ISP Hey! Broadband, which caters for areas covered by F&W Networks (Fibre and Wireless) alternative gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) lines – mostly across the South East of England, has revealed that their customer base has now reached over 35,000 (up from 30,000 in mid-November 2024).
Customers of the service typically pay from £27 per month for their top 900Mbps (symmetric) package, which compares with £33 for 400Mbps and then £23 for 150Mbps on a 24-month term (includes a router and free installation). The top 900Mbps plan is currently reduced from its usual price of £43 per month, and you also get 3 months of free service.
F&WN has so far managed to extend their full fibre broadband infrastructure to cover 410,000 UK premises RFS (Feb 2024 data) across various cities and towns in London, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and West Sussex etc.

Hey!Broadband CEO, Lourdes Saez, said:
“We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone of 35,000 customers, a testament to the team’s commitment to delivering fast, reliable, and affordable broadband. We push our limits to provide the best possible service, delivering high-quality connectivity with minimal inconvenience. We know that customers don’t want to be met with price hikes and long waiting times, which is why we ensure no mid-contract surprises.”

As a potential prospective customer, I wish it was possible to find out more about their build plans. The coverage map has my area in blue as available and they’ve covered much of Pound Hill North in Crawley, especially where telephone poles exist but haven’t covered houses served by Openreach ducts.
Openreach seem to be in the first phase of deploying FTTP (and the build dates have changed multiple times) and CityFibre is unofficially paused
Broadband is and will remain premise specific. TBB shows good F&W (Hey!) coverage on east side of London/Brighton Railway Line. There are gaps still possibly caused by “D” poles and blocked duct. They be waiting for OR to clear as they progress.
OR are progressing quickly now on this side of the railway. They are not doing the West side as its heavy VM usage.
Not sure why City Fibre (Lanes) put their duct around Grattons Drive/Worth Park well over a year now and TBB not showing any progress for them.
There is a good chance you can already get VM, OR FTTP and Hey (F&W). Have you tried ordering?.
If not it will not be long.
@Meadmodj When CityFibre put in their ducts (around 2+ years ago now I think), I spoke to the lead in the area who mentioned that they were waiting for the surveys to finish so that they could dig up under the bridge next to three bridges train station, then the unofficial build phase happened. I wonder if they will come back once the government contracts in the region have been finished, as it seems like an easy win. The lead mentioned once the ducts are in place, it only takes a couple of weeks to do the rest.
From looking at the streetworks, F&W have been clearing OR ducts and installing some new ducts in the area, but as you say, I’m sure we’re waiting for OR to do something first. OR installed ducts on our road around a year ago now as we didn’t have any originally (direct burial). The contractor managed to break the existing OR broadband lines when they dug to put in the ducts! They wouldn’t fix them and everyone affected had to call their ISP individually.
We can get VM on our street, but they used to be more expensive and I didn’t have a good experience with them in the past. We can’t get OR or Hey yet (I’ve checked), but I’m really hoping it will be available this year. I know I’m being slightly impatient but when CityFibre started 2 years ago, I had hoped we would’ve had FTTP by now. People I know, who live in the countryside, have got FTTP quicker than us and we live in a decent sized town
That is a lot of investment sitting idle. Surely they would have used OR PIA if the Bridge was the issue assuming F&W would have had the same issue. CityFibre have probably lost any advantage now particularly with Hey!’s aggressive pricing. I am sure there is some Cityfibre fibre up Worth Park Avenue and also out to Maidenbower.
They built the streets either side of ours but missed us out altogether.
Just want to share that I am one of their customers. I have used them for the last few years since they deployed in my area / South Bucks (High Wycombe). I was probably their first customer on my street and signed up and got the first slot.
Installation was fairly smooth, the guys were contractors and I am very picky so considering that they did a decent job. I specifically also asked them to pull in the cable all the way from outdoor right in under the stairs which they did.
Service:
The service has been stable, they had some hiccups with downtime but over 2½ years I would say it’s less than a handful of times I had issues.
Performance:
I am on their highest tier i.e. 900Mb and the speed is above almost what I can expect. I consistently get 70-80Mb/second download speed over VPN so this is without doubt a very good network with little to no congestion.
Price:
Yes they are very competitive and I would argue there is little to no one else in UK which offers this type of speed for that sort of money.
Support:
If there is one area I would rate them down is their support and router. The router works but is limited and they also have partly locked you out. From support perspective you can expect that if you run into any technical issue over Bank Holiday or weekend there is no support.
All of this results in overall score of 4/5.”
