Customers of alternative UK broadband ISP Gigaclear, specifically those who take their full fibre (FTTP) network in the Northamptonshire (England) village of Brixworth South, have been impacted by a complex network outage since Sunday. This occurred after a car discovered a novel approach to parking by wiping out one of the operator’s street cabinets.

The ISP has now confirmed to ISPreview that they recently started rolling out IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) internet addressing across their full fibre (FTTP) broadband network. The deployment is currently halfway to completion.

Abingdon-based rural UK ISP Gigaclear has confirmed the completion of their gigabit broadband roll-out across the large South Oxfordshire (England) village of Sonning Common. Abingdon-based rural ISP Gigaclear has today announced that they’ve kicked off the construction phase of their £25.4m (state aid) Project Gigabit contracts for South Oxfordshire (Lot 13.01 – c.5,500 premises) and North Oxfordshire (Lot 13.02 – c.4,200 premises), which will extend their full fibre (FTTP) broadband network to around 9,500 premises in hard-to-reach areas.

The Connecting Cambridgeshire project, which is led by the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority, has today issued a progress update on their “Dig Once” policy and efforts to accelerate the roll-out of gigabit broadband across the county, with 21.6km of new fibre ducting already installed or soon to be deployed.
