Virgin Media O2 Engineers Holding Fibre Cables

Network operator nexfibre has today confirmed that they’ve expanded their 2Gbps speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP / XGS-PON) broadband network, alongside partner UK ISP Virgin Media (VMO2), to cover an additional 25,000 premises in the seaside town of Lowestoft in Suffolk (England).

Network builder nexfibre, which shares some of the same parentage as Virgin Media (VMO2), has today announced that they expect to cover 12,000 premises across the Rochford District of Essex (England) via their new wholesale accessible 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network.

Broadband network builder nexfibre, which shares some of the same parentage as retail UK ISP partner Virgin Media (VMO2), has been hit with fines and charges totalling £11.3k in Somerset and £30k in Devon (England) after the local courts found them guilty of various roadworks offences that “posed a danger to pedestrians“.

Network operator nexfibre, which shares some of the same parentage as Virgin Media UK (VMO2), has announced that they expect to cover 40,000 premises across Durham during 2024 with their new 10Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband ISP network – most of which (over 30,000 premises) will be in the Sedgefield constituency.

New customers of Virgin Media UK (VMO2) may like to know that the ISP has today discounted their mid-range 516Mbps (M500) standalone home broadband package to just £33 per month on an 18-month minimum term (£72 thereafter), which also comes with average upload speed of 52Mbps. The 250Mbps and 1Gbps plans have also been cut.
