It finally happened. Mobile group Everything Everywhere (Orange UK and T-Mobile) has today launched its new Smart Signal Sharing technology, which means that if a customer’s Mobile Broadband connectivity begins to fade (e.g. down to one bar of signal) then it will seamlessly prioritise a 3G signal from the other network instead.

Orange UK (Everything Everywhere) recently reported its latest financial results to 31st March 2012 (Q1), which revealed that their total base of fixed line Home Broadband subscribers has remained static (no growth or decline), for a third consecutive quarter, at 713,000.

Everything Everywhere (Orange UK and T-Mobile) has today kicked off their new 4GBritain campaign, which calls on the industry and government to help speed up the country’s rollout of superfast Mobile Broadband services, by claiming that next generation “4G” tech could reach “at least” 10 million people who won’t be able to get a fixed line superfast broadband ISP by 2020.

Mobile group Everything Everywhere (Orange UK and T-Mobile) has used YouGov to independently survey 2,033 British adults in order to discover that 74% of people apparently want to bring “4G” superfast Mobile Broadband services to the country as soon as possible. Ofcom has delayed its proposal to allow T-Mobile and Orange UK (Everything Everywhere) to launch the country’s first 4G superfast Mobile Broadband service over their existing 1800MHz (3G) spectrum band. Mobile operator O2 UK (Telefonica) has warned that Ofcom’s plan to auction off the 800MHz and 2.6GHz radio spectrum frequencies, which would be used by a new generation of 4G superfast Mobile Broadband services, could be put at “further risk of delay” after the regulator allowed T-Mobile and Orange UK (Everything Everywhere) to launch the country’s first 4G service over their existing 1800MHz (3G) band.
