Hampshire-based network builder and gigabit broadband ISP toob, which is currently rolling out its own full fibre (FTTP) network across the South of England (e.g. Southampton, Camberley, Aldershot, Farnborough, Fareham and Gosport), has today separately expanded their coverage into parts of Berkshire via CityFibre’s network.

Nick Parbutt, the boss of network builder and UK gigabit broadband ISP toob, has revealed that the operator may have changed its strategy to focus more on growing customer take-up than on expanding their network coverage. But at this stage it’s unclear whether this will impact their existing coverage target.

Network builder and UK gigabit broadband ISP toob has today announced that their long-planned £13m project to deploy a Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across the Surrey (England) town of Woking has begun. The work is expected to result in 32,000 local homes and businesses gaining access to their network.

Abingdon-based rural ISP Gigaclear, which has already built their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network to cover 380,000 premises, have announced that the operator’s £10m network expansion in Surrey (England) is now starting to reach the villages of Gomshall and Westcott, with Wonersh to follow in 2024.

A relatively new UK network builder called X-Fibre has revealed that they’re planning to roll-out a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network to “surpass” 10,000 homes across parts of Surrey, West Sussex, and Hampshire “within the next five years” (i.e. by 2028).

Rural-focused UK ISP Gigaclear has announced that they’re planning to extend their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across a further 7,000 premises (homes and businesses) in Surrey, England. The first location to benefit from this expansion will be the large village of Chilworth.
