Don’t mind me, just passing through before the army of people crying about Virgin get here.

Seems more of a PR stunt, to tempt people to subscribe to the kids bundle.

I take it that uptake isn’t that great if they are offering this for free, back in the day it was part and parcel of any base package. There is of course CBBC / Cbeebies which is provided as part of the base package as it’s funded by the TV licence.

£5 quid for this bundle on a monthly basis; 5.99 / 7.99 for Disneyplus without any adverts.

The issue with it being in other bundles back in the day was to utilise all channels you needed to go to Full House, which could take someone at the time from £30 to 50+ all so they could just watch some kids programmes. And you’re right that it’s 5.99/7.99 for Disney+ but it doesn’t appear to have things like Cartoon Network and some other ones. And children couldn’t care less for adverts, usually they’re all kid related and keeps them entertained which allows the parents to do other things like catch up on laundry or even work.
Benefits of this severely outweigh the cons and looks good for Virgin which may also make other providers follow suite and offer stuff free to children for a bit.

Follow suit* unsure why my phone autocorrected such a stupid thing but never really anything else.

Not much use for Scottish people whose half term was 2-3 weeks ago…?
